The kids all made a feather that stated what they were thankful for. Then the teacher put them on a big turkey and posted it outside the classroom. The Friday before Thanksgiving break I had the best opportunity to go into Lola's classroom and help the teacher with the daily activities and also their Thanksgiving Party, or Feast. It turns out one of the teachers was going to be out of town and the teachers assistant asked if I could come in and help. Are you kidding? I jumped at that opportunity so fast! I thought I would be there for an hour but it turns out she needed me there the entire two and a half hours. I had such a great time helping the kids with their crafts, set up their lunches, and listen to them share their feelings about Thansgiving. Lola is quite the student. She constantly raised her hands and blurted out answers, asked many questions. Not shy in the least bit. It was nice getting a chance to see just how she does in class and how far she's really come.
The kids were ADORABLE!! It was so special spending time with Lola at her school. She kept looking over at me and waving and blowing kisses.
