Enrique's 35th Birthday was on November 22 and we girls decided to spoil him rotten, well kind of at least. We started by making him a huge monsterous meal; tons of bacon, 4 eggs, toast, heart shaped and bear shaped pancakes, juice and coffee. It was so massive it didn't all fit on the tray! He was very surprised and happy with that meal plus it was on the 'you are special' plate.
Eden had ballet rehearsal for her upcoming ballet christmas show after breakfast so we were gone for 3 hours. We picked up his Harley cake, (one the girls had chosen for him themselves), and his gift card and crab dinner for later. We also gave him a Raider mug.
The girls decided to put on a play for their dad. It was so cute and well performed I might add although the star of the show (Lola) decided she was not happy with the fairy wings provided and decided she wouldn't do the show as the main character afterall. Not to worry! Eden was there and so was I to fill in. Lola decided to help out eventually.
Later we made Enrique a crab feast dinner with King crab legs, Caesar salad, and garlic bread. Yum! He had a great time!
The play is titled "A Lovely Day in the Meadow" written by Eden Herrera. Eden plays the Fairy, mom plays the ghost, and Lola the tag along giggly something-or-other. They had been working on this play for days. Lola finally memorized her lines, but didn't get to put them to good use. It's moments like these that really warm your heart. It was very charming.
