The Perfect Christmas Tree and 13th Anniversary

Eden all geared up for our tree hunt

Lola, too

and Itty Bitty as well...

We find it and Roman tries to saw it down

Lola gives it a try

And Eden, too.

A whole family effort to get the 9 footer to the car

Roman helps decorate the tree

Look how high up Eden can reach this year!

Our tree...our best ever!
It's been the Herrera Family tradition to go to the Castro valley tree farm the day after black friday and cut down our own Christmas tree. Some years it's hot and some years it's raining and terribly muddy. One year there was a lady bug infestation. This year was just right. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. And there was very little mud and no bugs! We found our tree after a few minutes of looking. Each one of us took turns cutting it down.
We so love our tree! We sleep on the sofa bed next to the fire place and enjoy the tree some nights. It's quite festive and cozy.
Enrique and I celebrated our 13th year married. He took the day off and we spent it just relaxing and enjoying each others company.
