My Baby is Walking at 10 months

So Roman has decided to follow in his sisters' footsteps and walk early...BOO HOO! He's been walking since the end of June early July he started standing and stepping. We just took him to the Stride Rites here for his first shoe only to find out he is beyond a first shoe! He was actually running around in the store. Okay, so I was in denial.  So Eden started walking at 9 months, Lola 10 months and Roman 10 1/2 months. What's the hurry? Don't know...

She made a new friend as usual.

Eden and her team leader...who had nothing but wonderful things to say about Eden. She shows off her city of china. She built this city to with stand an earthquake. Yes, they even tested it for 30 seconds...Cool stuff!

The girls have been busy but having such a great time in camps. They began their summer with Camp Oakland Zoo. Which was really fun as usual. They got to be in the same Nature play group together. Molly has been going to camp with Eden since kindergarten. They even get to go to Camp Galileo together .
Next up, Camp Galileo for two weeks. In between that we celebrated the 4th of July. We went to the Orinda parade and then BBQ at Everett and Jones in Jack London Square in Oakland. It was a really fun hot day. Eden was pretty sick though that day. She bounced back the next day just in time for Galileo camp. We had a playdate with Molly at our home and they had a pool party.
The last camp the girls attend is Girl Scout camp. We have no pics of this one. It's a secretive camp almost. We just get to pick up and drop off. They love that camp because they do archery, make their own lunches over camp fires, and make ice cream and snow cones.
This summer has been such a blast! I am enjoying it as much as the girls. It's all about relaxing, enjoying the sun and spending more time together...less schedules. It's really wonderful.

Boy were May and June crazy months. Fun but crazy. There were field trips, farewell parties, Mom's day functions, Dad's day and so forth.
Mom's Day was really nice although Eden and I were quite sick. She had fevers and I had tummy pains and just sick. We made it to our annual mother's day tea in San Francisco just barely and it was really quite lovely for the first 20 minutes. And them something happened. My girls started arguing and kicking each other under the table. I quickly texted Enrique 'come and get your kids!' So let's just say it was memorable. And I really did enjoy the delicious tea and gourmet finger foods. What did I expect from sick kids though, mid day. So after, we took drive to China town. Toured the fortune cookie company (yum!), bought a few fun toys for pennies, then off we went for dinner at Everett and Jone's in Oakland. In spite of not feeling well and the fights, it was really nice.
Lola had her last kinder trip to Livorna park in Alamo. Enrique went on this trip .I had been on every one of her field trips and yes, Eden noticed and said I was going on one of her trips...so I was with Eden at the Roller skating Rink in San Ramon. This was FUN! I hadn't really skated since I was a kid. I never once fell so that's a plus. And I really enjoyed spending this time with her. Even though she spent an lot of time in the center with her friends. I was there to supply quarters for the games and all. It's not always Eden gets one on one time with me as you can imagine. It's been a long long time since we've been a twosome. So this was really lovely. She's growing so fast and I feel like I miss so much. Anytime we get to spend together is very precious. And valued time.
For Dad's day the girls wanted to take Enrique fishing. We hadn't been to Lake Berryessa since before the kids so we decided to go. It really was a nice warm day. The girls swam in the lake, Roman tumbled into some thistle weeds (poor kiddo...he's just so into everything!), and we fished a bit. Caught nothing but had a memorable time. We gave Enrique some fun Barbequeing gifts from Williams Sonoma...so he bbq'd later that night. Bacon wrapped scallops and Prime Rib Eye steaks...so divine!
When school ended we decided to take a long camping trip to Big Sur. The weather was fantastic! We hiked everywhere and even saw a few critters we've never seen before so up close...a mini scorpion, a millipede, a snake, to name a few! We got to enjoy the beaches there as well. It was the perfect way to welcome summer and to just have some time as a family.
Next up...camps! And soon Roman turns ONE!!!!!
