Baby Boy Roman 6 months already

Six months already! And he's doing so much...sitting up unassisted, scooting, eating a ton of different foods (he loves to EAT especially  mangos, pears, blueberries, squash, sweet potatoes, rice crereal, chicken), he just said Mama for the first time a couple of days ago. He just had an appointment and he is doing quite well. He's in the 70th percentile in height and 50th in weight...our little string bean. He's my tiniest baby! He is so very loving and gives the best bear hugs already. He's always got a smile on his face. He loves to play boxing. Enjoys anything that has to do with throwing punches or kicking! He makes this really funny sound...a loud snort. We just laugh at him. He's so very amusing. We just love him so much. He's already such a Mama's boy which is fine with me :)!

Benihana for Valentine's and belated birthday celebration

So love was definitely in the air! I had been surprised by my amazing husband with the most gorgeous red roses delived to me and my mom and kiddos gave me chocolates from See's. I had 4 love bugs, Eden, Lola, Roman and Enrique and life was great! Since Valentine's was on a Monday this year, the kids went to school but afterward I surprised them with a trip to Build A bear, one of their absolutely favorite places. It really was a lot of fun and such a special treat for them. We then met up with Enrique and surprised the girls with dinner at benihana's...our favorite place to go! I had received a free birthday meal from them and so this was the perfect opportunity to use my coupon. Only they celebrate you when you use that coupon so I got a very big and loud Happy Birthday sung to me by about 7 waitors! It was quite the surprise!!! But I loved it. This was such a special Valentine's Day. I got to share it with the ones I love.

I celebrated my 36th birthday on February 5. We decided to go to Tilden Park to go on a hike near Lake Anza. The views were absolutely incredible! This was once like our home to us. Enrique and I practically went up to the hills every weekend. For hikes, for dates, and just to get away and enjoy the views. It was such a treat going back there. We even took the kids to our Reception site at the Brazilian Room. It's still spectacular and I'd have it there all over again. I had such a wonderful day. The kids and Enrique took me to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory where they sang Happy birthday to me. It was such a nice surprise and the steak was delicious!
The day before my mom took the day off and treated me to breakfast and shopping. It was the perfect birthday weekend. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful caring family. I love them all!

A perfect end to a great day...a toy shopping spree at Toys R Us

This year Eden had her birthday party at Chuckie Cheese's in Concord. She had such a fantastic time! It was so wonderful seeing her laugh and smile the whole day. She was so incredibly happy and so were her friends. We had about 17 friends there (and that was narrowing it down :) ) and Alice and Giovahna, Joey and a little girl they are fostering attended, Nana, Lola's best friend Audrey from preschool and a few parents attended, too. It was super loud and crazy and Eden loved every moment of it. We were there for hours! Eden won a ton of prizes and so did Lola.
Afterward we had dinner at Sizzler, Nana's treat, and then we were off to Toys R Us for a shopping spree. It was a day Eden will always remember. She said it was the best birthday ever! I can't believe my little Eden is already 9 years old! It was fun seeing how her and her friends interacted. All the things they were saying. They are all growing so fast. Time goes by so very fast!

Christmas was a ton of fun. Mostly because it is so wonderful seeing the joy on the kids' faces. This year Nana came to our home for Christmas and we had a wonderful time as always.
We decided to take a trip to the snow at Lake Tahoe very last minute. We had been promising the girls for so long and so we just went. There are no words to describe the beauty of the snow. I love it so much! It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! And watching the snow fall...it's so cozy and fun and delightful. We always have such a great time. This year we got stuck in yet another blizzard and we made the best of it although there was no power in the hotel and we froze all night...we'll still go back. That won't stop us!
