The girls under a tree...while we search for the perfect tree
So we have been extremely busy the past couple of months. So much that I barely have the time to update this blog. The girls keep me busy to say the least and so does our Little man. We had a really nice and relaxing Thanksgiving at Nana's and it was off to Black Friday shopping...YES with the kids although Roman could care less about shopping. Actually he cries whenever I go inside a store. I think this is a tradition that he will skip going forward. Then after that we go to get our Christmas tree. Oh, yes we so look forward to this day. We always go the day after Black Friday. This year it was unusually rainy. We were so covered in mud, but this didn't stop us at all. We searched for nearly an hour for that perfect tree. And there it was in all its glory. We snuck a couple of pictures in. We were all miserably cold and muddy but in such high spirits with our new tree.
In early December we went to Enrique's office party. It was so so much fun! The girls loved the fun festivities they had and the candy bar was the best! The girls even got a chance to run around with Alisia...a friend Eden's known since the age of two. They are the exact same age and got along so well. Lola was daddified! She kept following him everywhere and it was Daddy this and Daddy that. She was such a social bug, too. We heard so many interesting things from Enrique's coworkers about conversations they had with her. She's so intelligent and funny and sociable was all we heard. That's Lola. And everyone made over Roman. he was handed from one person to another. Quite the charmer. He did quite well and we got a few requests for Babysitting the kids. How nice huh? Eden got a ton of attention as well especially because she is the height of many of the people there! They were all so sweet and we had a wonderful family time.
By the way, the girls both won the Reflections Poetry contest. I am so so very proud of those girls. Both are doing incredibly well at school. Lola has begun to read (to my surprise) and the teachers say because we read so much this gives her an advantage. Eden is a star student too. her testing in class averages a 99%. So all is well here. Just chaotic and did I mention crazy and chaotic. Really! But all worth it. What was life like before?
