Little Man Ro-man!

Here are all of his presents...some bigger than him!

I am so surprised my little baby is 1! He is still so little. He's such a sweetie pie. He's always full of hugs and smiles. He's such a mellow baby.
For his birthday we kept it pretty low key. We celebrated at home and had him open his presents (not all of them as he became overwhelmed) in the morning. We made him his very special dinner of hot dogs and sweet potatoes. Even Nana stopped by to wish him a happy 1st birthday. The girls decided to spend the night at Nana's house which really gave us some time to spend one on one with Roman. It was a very special time.
The next day was his birthday party. The place was decorated so nicely! We had a dinosaur theme and tons of balloons! We had a huge banner with Roman's face on it and it said Happy 1st Birthday. We had a dinosaur cake with a volcano (it was such an awesome cake!  Inside and out), cupcakes and other fun treats. I made the cupcakes. they were so yummy and pretty, too. Everywhere you looked there were photo decorations of Roman...even the centerpiece showed his face. Okay so for the party we went a wee bit overboard. But how many first birthday's do we get to celebrate! We wanted to keep it pretty small and casual. We had some friends from the school the girls' attend , Tyrone came by and Reggie, too. We also had Gladine, a grandma of one of Eden's friends, who absolutely loves Roman and he loves her very much, too. Nana and Abuelita were there showering him with lots of love. It was a very special day. Roman did very well, too. He never once cried. He had a big huge nap before the party so he was in very good spirits. It really was  a lot of fun!
As I mentioned before I can't believe he's already 1. How fast time flies by. But I am really enjoying every single minute of it. He is such a sweet, loving little baby. He always nestles his head in my neck and gives me so many hugs. He blows kisses and cuddles up and curls in my arms all the time. We call him Itty Bitty because he is the smallest of my kids. He's in the 50th percentile on his length (down from 75th a few months back) and his weight is 30th percentile. He's even got a proportioned head at 50th percentile! He's growing just fine though says his doc and he's so small because he's on the move! Can't sit still ever! Happy Birthday to my Little Man!

Miss Lola had her birthday party at Pump it Up the Saturday before her birthday. She was very particular about who she invited. Only her very best friends could be there and her brother and sister, too. We only invited about 10 girls and boys and it was such a fun party. Not crazy and wild at all. Just perfect! She was so incredibly happy to see her very best friend Audrey from preschool. They go to separate schools so when they see each other they just hug and laugh and pick each other up over and over. It's so very sweet.
Lola has been asking for a Fashion Kitty theme since last year. So we ordered everything online and it looked great the day of the party. She had a fabulous time.
For her actual birthday Lola woke up to a traditionally decorated home. Enrique and I stay up the night before the kids' birthday's and decorate the place and post signs all over that say Happy Birthday. She loved it when she woke up. She got to open her presents from family and then it was off to Pixieland for a day of fun. Nana took part of the day off to spend with us, too. The kids fed the ducks at the pond and then Lola got her face painted and both girls got on the Dragon Roller coaster so many times I lost track of how many times. She was a bit sassy that day, but we made it through it just fine. She loved her birthday and her presents! By the end of the day Enrique and I were planning for Roman's 1st birthday celebration in two days.
